Forest Park

About-Clayton-shaw-park Forest Park is a page out of history, with all the conveniences afforded by modern life. Opened in 1876, in tandem with the centennial of America’s emancipation, the Park was intended then to be exactly as it is now – a welcome respite for all, in the heart of Saint Louis.

Attractions in Forest park are some of the most world-renowned aspects of Saint Louis, including the famous Saint Louis Zoo and Science Center. Perhaps most fascinating of all is the World's Fair Pavilion, a Henry Wright-designed fixture since 1910. It was built as an exhibition hall during the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition, held in Saint Louis in 1904, alongside the famous Art Museum (then known as the Palace of the Arts).

Patrons of Forest Park are also able to rent out designated picnic areas. Learn more >>>
